Rumors of a Aventuras en el tiempo reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Monday (April 22) as reports claimed that Canal de las Estrellas confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Can you believe it's been 22 years since Aventuras en el tiempo first aired?! (22 years, 7 months, 30 days to be exact.)
Why in the world did Aventuras en el tiempo end?
When Aventuras en el tiempo came to an end after 1 year in March 2001, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Violeta/Rosenda (Belinda), Angel del Huerto (Christopher Uckermann) and Flor del Huerto (Maribel Guardia). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would an Aventuras en el tiempo reunion disappoint people?
Aventuras en el tiempo aired from 2001-2001 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Uckermann said he's not sure if Aventuras en el tiempo would work today. “I don't want to see old Angel del Huerto,” he told a journalist (Uckermann turned 37 in October). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.
Still hoping for an Aventuras en el tiempo movie?
In a recent interview, Belinda said she can't imagine an Aventuras en el tiempo reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Christopher Uckermann has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did an Aventuras en el tiempo movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be an Aventuras en el tiempo film, Maribel Guardia stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
What about an Aventuras en el tiempo reboot?
Recasting Aventuras en el tiempo for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
