Rumors of a Bajo las riendas del amor reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Wednesday (April 24) as reports claimed that Canal de las Estrellas confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Why in the world did Bajo las riendas del amor end?
When Bajo las riendas del amor came to an end after 1 year in October 2007, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Ingrid Linares (Adamari López), Montserrat Linares (Adriana Fonseca) and Juan José Álvarez / Juanjo (Gabriel Soto). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would a Bajo las riendas del amor reunion disappoint people?
Bajo las riendas del amor aired from 2007-2007 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Soto said he's not sure if Bajo las riendas del amor would work today. “I don't want to see old Juan José Álvarez / Juanjo,” he told a journalist (Soto turned 49 in April). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.

In a recent interview, Adamari López said she can't imagine a Bajo las riendas del amor reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Gabriel Soto has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Bajo las riendas del amor movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a Bajo las riendas del amor film, Adriana Fonseca stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
