Rumors of a How I Met Your Mother reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Friday (April 19) as reports claimed that CBS confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Why in the world did How I Met Your Mother end?
When How I Met Your Mother came to an end after 9 years in March 2014, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to their favorite sitcom characters. And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would a How I Met Your Mother reunion disappoint people?
How I Met Your Mother aired from 2005-2014 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules.
Still hoping for a How I Met Your Mother movie?
In a recent interview, Jennifer Morrison (who played Zoey Pierson between 2010 and 2011) said she can't imagine a How I Met Your Mother reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Kal Penn (who played Kevin between 2011 and 2012) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a How I Met Your Mother movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a How I Met Your Mother film, Cobie Smulders stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
