Rumors of a Star-Crossed reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Wednesday (April 24) as reports claimed that The CW confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Can you believe it's been 10 years since Star-Crossed first aired?! (10 years, 2 months, 8 days to be exact.)

Why in the world did Star-Crossed end?

When Star-Crossed came to an end after 1 year in May 2014, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Emery Whitehill (Aimee Teegarden), Grayson Montrose (Grey Damon), Julia Yeung (Malese Jow) and Roman (Matt Lanter). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a Star-Crossed reunion disappoint people?

Star-Crossed aired from 2014-2014 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Damon said he's not sure if Star-Crossed would work today. “I don't want to see old Grayson Montrose,” he told a journalist (Damon turned 36 in September). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.

Still hoping for a Star-Crossed movie?

In a recent interview, Malese Jow said she can't imagine a Star-Crossed reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

Co-star Natalie Hall (who played Taylor Beecham) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Star-Crossed movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

On the subject of whether there could be a Star-Crossed film, Grey Damon stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”

What about a Star-Crossed reboot?

Recasting Star-Crossed for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.

Be it in the form of a Star-Crossed reunion, a Star-Crossed movie, or a Star-Crossed reboot, if you had to start filming today, who would you cast in what role?
