Born David Warren Brubeck in Concord on December 6, 1920, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Brubeck was not just a great pianist, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1959 he touched the hearts of millions with ‘Take Five’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.
