It has been exactly 4 long years since Doris Day died in Carmel Valley Village on May 13, 2019 at the age of 95. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.

Today, fans of Doris Day (Sentimental Journey, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic woman she was.

Day, a cultural icon

Born Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff in Cincinnati on April 3, 1924, her career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Day was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1944 she touched the hearts of millions with ‘Sentimental Journey’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.

It's been 4 years since the tragic loss of Doris Day and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Doris Day is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
