It has been exactly 4 long years since Dr. John died in New Orleans on June 6, 2019 at the age of 78. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation.

Today, fans of Dr. John (Right Place Wrong Time, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Dr. John, a cultural icon

Born Malcolm John Rebennack in New Orleans on November 21, 1940, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Dr. John was not just a great pianist, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1973 he touched the hearts of millions with ‘Right Place Wrong Time’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.

It's been 4 years since the tragic loss of Dr. John and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Dr. John is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
