Remembering Garry Marshall, 7 Years Later

It has been exactly 7 long years since Garry Marshall died in Burbank on July 19, 2016 at the age of 81. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed directors of his generation.

Today, fans of Garry Marshall (The Princess Diaries, Pretty Woman, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Marshall, a cultural icon

Born Garry Kent Marshall in New York on November 13, 1934, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Marshall was not just a great director, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.

It's been 7 years since the tragic loss of Garry Marshall and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Garry Marshall is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
