It has been exactly 3 long years since Johnny Nash died in Houston on October 6, 2020 at the age of 80. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed singers of his generation.

Today, fans of Johnny Nash (I Can See Clearly Now, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Nash, a cultural icon

Born John Lester Nash, Jr. in Houston on August 19, 1940, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Nash was not just a great singer, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1972 he touched the hearts of millions with ‘I Can See Clearly Now’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.

It's been 3 years since the tragic loss of Johnny Nash and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Johnny Nash is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
