Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Michèle Cotta, 86, and her partner had split up. Is the author of Cahiers secrets de la Ve République really single again?

Cotta spotted alone

A fan spotted Michèle Cotta walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 16, 2024. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Michèle back on the market?

A rep for Michèle Cotta was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (April 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
