It has been exactly 3 long years since The Forces' Sweetheart Vera Lynn died in Ditchling on June 18, 2020 at the age of 103. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed singers of her generation.

Today, fans of Vera Lynn (We'll Meet Again, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic woman she was.

Lynn, a cultural icon

Born in London on March 20, 1917, Vera Lynn's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in British history. Lynn was not just a great singer, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1939 she touched the hearts of millions with ‘We'll Meet Again’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique musical heritage.

It's been 3 years since the tragic loss of Vera Lynn and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Vera Lynn is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
