It has been exactly 38 long years since Yul Brynner died in New York on October 10, 1985 at the age of 65. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Today, fans of Yul Brynner (The Magnificent Seven, The Ten Commandments, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Brynner, a cultural icon

Born Yuliy Borisovich Briner in Vladivostok on July 11, 1920, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Brynner was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1956 he touched the hearts of millions as Ramesses II in ‘The Ten Commandments’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.

It's been 38 years since the tragic loss of Yul Brynner and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Yul Brynner is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
