Rumors of a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Saturday (November 23) as reports claimed that Fox confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Why in the world did Beverly Hills, 90210 end?
When Beverly Hills, 90210 came to an end after 10 years in May 2000, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestley) and Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Beverly Hills, 90210 without Brenda Walsh?
After the tragic passing of Shannen Doherty in 2024 how are the writers going to handle the absence of Brenda Walsh. It seems pretty hard to imagine. “The right thing to do for the show, at least at this point, is to have that character pass,” a source close to the production says.
Would a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion disappoint people?
Beverly Hills, 90210 aired from 1990-2000 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Priestley said he's not sure if Beverly Hills, 90210 would work today. “I don't want to see old Brandon Walsh,” he told a journalist (Priestley turned 55 in August). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.
Still hoping for a Beverly Hills, 90210 movie?
In a recent interview, Tiffani Thiessen (who played Valerie Malone) said she can't imagine a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Michael Cudlitz (who played Tony Miller between 1992 and 1993) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Beverly Hills, 90210 movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a Beverly Hills, 90210 film, Brian Austin Green stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
What about a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot?
Recasting Beverly Hills, 90210 for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
