‘Braquo’ Reunion 2027 — Is It Happening?

Rumors of a Braquo reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Sunday (April 5) as reports claimed that Canal+ confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2027.

Can you believe it's been 16 years since Braquo first aired?! (16 years, 5 months, 25 days to be exact.)
Why in the world did Braquo end?
When Braquo came to an end after 7 years in October 2016, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Eddy Caplan (Jean-Hugues Anglade), Roxane Delgado (Karole Rocher) and Théo Vachewski (Nicolas Duvauchelle). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would a Braquo reunion disappoint people?
Braquo aired from 2009-2016 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Rocher said she's not sure if Braquo would work today. “I don't want to see old Roxane Delgado,” she told a journalist (Rocher turned 52 in January). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.
Still hoping for a Braquo movie?
In a recent interview, Samuel Le Bihan (who played Gabriel Marceau between 2009 and 2011) said he can't imagine a Braquo reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Manuel Gélin (who played le préfet in 2011) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Braquo movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a Braquo film, Karole Rocher stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
What about a Braquo reboot?
Recasting Braquo for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
Be it in the form of a Braquo reunion, a Braquo movie, or a Braquo reboot, if you had to start filming today, who would you cast in what role?
