‘Bridgerton’ Reunion 2027 — Is It Happening?

Rumors of a Bridgerton reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Friday (March 20) as reports claimed that producers confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2027.

When Bridgerton came to an end, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a Bridgerton reunion disappoint people?

Bridgerton is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Coughlan said she's not sure if Bridgerton would work today. “I don't want to see old Penelope Featherington,” she told a journalist (Coughlan turned 39 in January). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.

Still hoping for a Bridgerton movie?

In a recent interview, Nicola Coughlan said she can't imagine a Bridgerton reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
