Rumors of a Full House reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Saturday (November 23) as reports claimed that ABC confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Can you believe it's been 37 years since Full House first aired?! (37 years, 2 months, 2 days to be exact.)

Why in the world did Full House end?

When Full House came to an end after 8 years in May 1995, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Michelle Tanner (Ashley Olsen), Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier), Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate Olsen). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Full House without Danny Tanner?

After the tragic passing of Bob Saget in 2022 how are the writers going to handle the absence of Danny Tanner. It seems pretty hard to imagine. “The right thing to do for the show, at least at this point, is to have that character pass,” a source close to the production says.

Would a Full House reunion disappoint people?

Full House aired from 1987-1995 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Bure said she's not sure if Full House would work today. “I don't want to see old D.J. Tanner,” she told a journalist (Bure turned 48 in April). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.

Still hoping for a Full House movie?

In a recent interview, Candace Cameron Bure said she can't imagine a Full House reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

Co-star Jodie Sweetin (who played Stephanie Tanner) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Full House movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

On the subject of whether there could be a Full House film, Marla Sokoloff stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”

What about a Full House reboot?

Recasting Full House for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
