Can you believe it's been 14 years since Grimm first aired?! (14 years, 5 months, 7 days to be exact.)
Why in the world did Grimm end?
When Grimm came to an end after 6 years in March 2017, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would a Grimm reunion disappoint people?
Grimm aired from 2011-2017 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Giuntoli said he's not sure if Grimm would work today. “I don't want to see old Detective Nick Burkhardt,” he told a journalist (Giuntoli turned 45 in June). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.
Still hoping for a Grimm movie?
In a recent interview, David Giuntoli said he can't imagine a Grimm reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
What about a Grimm reboot?
Recasting Grimm for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
Be it in the form of a Grimm reunion, a Grimm movie, or a Grimm reboot, if you had to start filming today, who would you cast in what role?
