Rumors of a NTSF:SD:SUV:: reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Friday (April 19) as reports claimed that Adult Swim confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Can you believe it's been 12 years since NTSF:SD:SUV:: first aired?! (12 years, 8 months, 29 days to be exact.)
Why in the world did NTSF:SD:SUV:: end?
When NTSF:SD:SUV:: came to an end after 3 years in December 2013, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Piper Ferguson (June Diane Raphael), Kove (Kate Mulgrew) and Trent Hauser (Paul Scheer). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would a NTSF:SD:SUV:: reunion disappoint people?
NTSF:SD:SUV:: aired from 2011-2013 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Raphael said she's not sure if NTSF:SD:SUV:: would work today. “I don't want to see old Piper Ferguson,” she told a journalist (Raphael turned 44 in January). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.
Still hoping for a NTSF:SD:SUV:: movie?
In a recent interview, Kate Mulgrew said she can't imagine a NTSF:SD:SUV:: reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Rebecca Romijn (who played Jessie Nichols between 2011 and 2012) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a NTSF:SD:SUV:: movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a NTSF:SD:SUV:: film, Paul Scheer stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
What about a NTSF:SD:SUV:: reboot?
Recasting NTSF:SD:SUV:: for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
Be it in the form of a NTSF:SD:SUV:: reunion, a NTSF:SD:SUV:: movie, or a NTSF:SD:SUV:: reboot, if you had to start filming today, who would you cast in what role?
