‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’ Reunion 2025 — Is It Happening?

Rumors of a Once Upon a Time in Wonderland reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Wednesday (April 17) as reports claimed that ABC confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

When Once Upon a Time in Wonderland came to an end after 1 year in April 2014, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Anastasia (Emma Rigby), Jafar (Naveen Andrews) and Alice (Sophie Lowe). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would an Once Upon a Time in Wonderland reunion disappoint people?

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland aired from 2013-2014 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Lowe said she's not sure if Once Upon a Time in Wonderland would work today. “I don't want to see old Alice,” she told a journalist (Lowe turned 33 in June). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.

Still hoping for an Once Upon a Time in Wonderland movie?

In a recent interview, Lauren McKnight (who played Elizabeth) said she can't imagine an Once Upon a Time in Wonderland reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

Co-star Barbara Hershey (who played Cora) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did an Once Upon a Time in Wonderland movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

On the subject of whether there could be an Once Upon a Time in Wonderland film, Sophie Lowe stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
