But Lawless said she's not sure if Spartacus: Gods of the Arena would work today. “I don't want to see old Lucretia,” she told a journalist (Lawless turned 56 in March). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.

In a recent interview, Lesley-Ann Brandt (who played Naevia) said she can't imagine a Spartacus: Gods of the Arena reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Jessica Grace Smith (who played Diona) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Spartacus: Gods of the Arena movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a Spartacus: Gods of the Arena film, Manu Bennett stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
What about a Spartacus: Gods of the Arena reboot?
Recasting Spartacus: Gods of the Arena for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
