‘The Glory’ Reunion 2027 — Is It Happening?

Rumors of a the Glory reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Thursday (March 19) as reports claimed that producers confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2027.

Why in the world did the Glory end?

When the Glory came to an end, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Moon Dong-eun (Song Hye-kyo). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a Glory reunion disappoint people?

The Glory is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Hye-kyo said she's not sure if the Glory would work today. “I don't want to see old Moon Dong-eun,” she told a journalist (Hye-kyo turned 44 in November). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.

Still hoping for a Glory movie?

In a recent interview, Song Hye-kyo said she can't imagine a Glory reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

What about a Glory reboot?

Recasting the Glory for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
