Rumors of a Two Women, One Road reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Saturday (December 21) as reports claimed that Canal de las Estrellas confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Why in the world did Two Women, One Road end?
When Two Women, One Road came to an end after 1 year in July 1994, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Johnny (Erik Estrada) and Ana Maria de Villegas (Laura León). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would a Two Women, One Road reunion disappoint people?
Two Women, One Road aired from 1993-1994 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But León said she's not sure if Two Women, One Road would work today. “I don't want to see old Ana Maria de Villegas,” she told a journalist (León turned 72 in November). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.
Still hoping for a Two Women, One Road movie?
In a recent interview, Erik Estrada said he can't imagine a Two Women, One Road reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Laura León has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Two Women, One Road movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
What about a Two Women, One Road reboot?
Recasting Two Women, One Road for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
