‘10 Things I Hate About You’ Reunion 2025 — Is It Happening?

Rumors of a 10 Things I Hate About You reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Saturday (December 21) as reports claimed that ABC Family confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Why in the world did 10 Things I Hate About You end?

When 10 Things I Hate About You came to an end after 1 year in May 2010, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Chastity Church (Dana Davis), Patrick Verona (Ethan Peck), Kat Stratford (Lindsey Shaw), Bianca Stratford (Meaghan Martin) and Cameron James (Nicholas Braun). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a 10 Things I Hate About You reunion disappoint people?

10 Things I Hate About You aired from 2009-2010 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Martin said she's not sure if 10 Things I Hate About You would work today. “I don't want to see old Bianca Stratford,” she told a journalist (Martin turned 32 in February). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.

Still hoping for a 10 Things I Hate About You movie?

In a recent interview, Chris Zylka (who played Joey Donner) said he can't imagine a 10 Things I Hate About You reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

Co-star Ethan Peck has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a 10 Things I Hate About You movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

On the subject of whether there could be a 10 Things I Hate About You film, Nicholas Braun stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
