Rumors of a Baby Daddy reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Friday (April 19) as reports claimed that Freeform confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Can you believe it's been 11 years since Baby Daddy first aired?! (11 years, 10 months, to be exact.)

Why in the world did Baby Daddy end?

When Baby Daddy came to an end after 5 years in May 2017, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Riley Perrin (Chelsea Kane), Danny Wheeler (Derek Theler), Ben Wheeler (Jean-Luc Bilodeau) and Bonnie N. Walker (Melissa Peterman). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a Baby Daddy reunion disappoint people?

Baby Daddy aired from 2012-2017 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Bilodeau said he's not sure if Baby Daddy would work today. “I don't want to see old Ben Wheeler,” he told a journalist (Bilodeau turned 33 in November). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.

Still hoping for a Baby Daddy movie?

In a recent interview, Matt Dallas (who played Fitch Douglas) said he can't imagine a Baby Daddy reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

Co-star Greg Grunberg (who played Ray Wheeler) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Baby Daddy movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

On the subject of whether there could be a Baby Daddy film, Jean-Luc Bilodeau stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”

What about a Baby Daddy reboot?

Recasting Baby Daddy for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
