Rumors of a Haven reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Thursday (October 29) as reports claimed that Syfy confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2021.

Can you believe it's been 10 years since Haven first aired?! (10 years, 3 months, 21 days to be exact.)

Why in the world did Haven end?

When Haven came to an end after 6 years in December 2015, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Audrey Parker (Emily Rose), Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour) and Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a Haven reunion disappoint people?

Haven aired from 2010-2015 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Balfour said he's not sure if Haven would work today. “I don't want to see old Duke Crocker,” he told a journalist (Balfour turned 43 in April). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.

Still hoping for a Haven movie?

In a recent interview, Laura Mennell (who played Charlotte Cross between 2014 and 2015) said she can't imagine a Haven reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

Co-star Colin Ferguson (who played William between 2013 and 2015) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Haven movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

On the subject of whether there could be a Haven film, Eric Balfour stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”

What about a Haven reboot?

Recasting Haven for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
