Rumors of a Scream Queens reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Friday (November 1) as reports claimed that Fox confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2025.

Can you believe it's been 9 years since Scream Queens first aired?! (9 years, 1 month, 11 days to be exact.)

Why in the world did Scream Queens end?

When Scream Queens came to an end after 2 years in December 2016, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Libby Putney (Abigail Breslin), Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) and Hester Ulrich (Lea Michele). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a Scream Queens reunion disappoint people?

Scream Queens aired from 2015-2016 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules. But Michele said she's not sure if Scream Queens would work today. “I don't want to see old Hester Ulrich,” she told a journalist (Michele turned 38 in August). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” she added.

Still hoping for a Scream Queens movie?

In a recent interview, Diego Boneta (who played Pete Martinez in 2015) said he can't imagine a Scream Queens reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

Co-star Skyler Samuels (who played Grace Gardner in 2015) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Scream Queens movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

On the subject of whether there could be a Scream Queens film, Keke Palmer stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”

What about a Scream Queens reboot?

Recasting Scream Queens for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
