Born Alain Jacques Richard Minc in Paris on April 15, 1949, his career spans an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Minc's not just a great economist, he's an inspiration, an icon and a successful business man. At this point in his career, there seems to be little Alain hasn't done.
