Is the 51-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Alanis Morissette, 51, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her album Jagged Little Pill really single again?

Morissette spotted alone

A fan spotted Alanis Morissette walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Alanis back on the market?

A rep for Alanis Morissette was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Ryan Reynolds or Dave Coulier - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (March 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
