Is the 66-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Allison Janney, 66, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in The Help, The West Wing or American Beauty really single again?

Janney spotted alone

A fan spotted Allison Janney walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Allison back on the market?

A rep for Allison Janney was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Sunday (March 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
