Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Amal Clooney, 48, and her partner had split up. Is the British lawyer really single again?

Clooney spotted alone

A fan spotted Amal Clooney walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of September 28, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Amal back on the market?

A rep for Amal Clooney was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the lawyer was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (September 29), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
