It has been exactly 13 long years since Amy Winehouse died in London on July 23, 2011 at the age of 27. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed singers of her generation.

Born in London on September 14, 1983, Amy Winehouse's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in British history. Winehouse was not just a great singer, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 2006 she touched the hearts of millions with ‘Rehab’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique musical heritage.
It's been 13 years since the tragic loss of Amy Winehouse and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Amy Winehouse is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
