Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Angela Davis, 82, and her partner had split up. Is the American activist really single again?

Davis spotted alone

A fan spotted Angela Davis walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of July 17, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Angela back on the market?

A rep for Angela Davis was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the activist was splitting hit the internet Saturday (July 18), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
