Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Ann Dowd, 70, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in The Leftovers or Compliance really single again?

Dowd spotted alone

A fan spotted Ann Dowd walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of June 12, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Ann back on the market?

A rep for Ann Dowd was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Saturday (June 13), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
