Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Anne Hidalgo, 66, and her partner had split up. Is the mayor of Paris really single again?

Hidalgo spotted alone

A fan spotted Anne Hidalgo walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 5, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Anne back on the market?

A rep for Anne Hidalgo was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Friday (February 6), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
