Break-Up Rumors, Is Annie Ernaux Single Again?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Annie Ernaux, 85, and her partner had split up. Is Nobel Prize in Literature 2022 really single again?

Ernaux spotted alone

A fan spotted Annie Ernaux walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 18, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Annie back on the market?

A rep for Annie Ernaux was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the author was splitting hit the internet Thursday (March 19), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
