Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Asami Abe, 40, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song Jōnetsu Setsuna really single again?

Abe spotted alone
A fan spotted Asami Abe walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 31, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”
Is Asami back on the market?
A rep for Asami Abe was not immediately available for comment.
Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 1), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
