Is the 41-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Ashlee Simpson, 41, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her role on the television series Melrose Place 2009 and best known for her album Autobiography really single again?

Simpson spotted alone

A fan spotted Ashlee Simpson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 18, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Ashlee back on the market?

A rep for Ashlee Simpson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Ryan Cabrera, Josh Henderson, Vincent Piazza, Tyler Hoechlin, Pete Wentz, Carson Daly, Wilmer Valderrama or Gregory Smith - was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 19), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
