Bourvil, a cultural icon

Born André Robert Raimbourg in Prétot-Vicquemare on July 27, 1917, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Bourvil was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1956 he touched the hearts of millions as Marcel Martin in ‘A Pig Across Paris’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
