Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Brenda Lee, 81, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song I'm Sorry really single again?

Lee spotted alone

A fan spotted Brenda Lee walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 12, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Brenda back on the market?

A rep for Brenda Lee was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (January 13), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
