Is the 44-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Britney Spears, 44, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Oops!... I Did It Again or Baby One More Time really single again?

Spears spotted alone

A fan spotted Britney Spears walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 11, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Britney back on the market?

A rep for Britney Spears was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Wade Robson, Justin Timberlake, Charlie Ebersol, Colin Farrell, Howie Day, Kevin Federline, Fred Durst or Columbus Short - was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 12), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
