Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Carly Simon, 81, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Let the River Run, Nobody Does It Better or You're So Vain really single again?

Simon spotted alone

A fan spotted Carly Simon walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of June 26, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Carly back on the market?

A rep for Carly Simon was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Warren Beatty or Mick Jagger - was splitting hit the internet Saturday (June 27), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
