Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Carole King, 84, and her partner had split up. Is the author of the Loco-Motion and Will You Love Me Tomorrow really single again?

King spotted alone
A fan spotted Carole King walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of June 23, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”
Is Carole back on the market?
A rep for Carole King was not immediately available for comment.
Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Gerry Goffin - was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (June 24), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
