Could Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa become the Seventh James Bond?
Tagawa’s star has been rising in Hollywood in recent years thank to critically acclaimed roles in Mortal Kombat (2012), Tekken (2009) and Balls of Fury (2007). His commercial appeal is growing, too.
The question for Tagawa now is – what next?
Three reasons Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa would be good for the James Bond franchise
- It would clarify that Bond is a rotating identity: If M can be a woman, why can't James Bond be a 75-year-old American?
- No other performers could be nearly as cool and broodingly suave as Tagawa.
- It would give Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa a chance to play a lover, as well as a fighter.
