Is the 82-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Catherine Deneuve, 82, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Pola X, The Last Metro, The Young Girls of Rochefort or The Umbrellas of Cherbourg really single again?

Deneuve spotted alone

A fan spotted Catherine Deneuve walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 31, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Catherine back on the market?

A rep for Catherine Deneuve was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Johnny Hallyday, François Truffaut, Clint Eastwood, David Bailey, Pierre Lescure or Marcello Mastroianni - was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 1), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
