Is the 81-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Catherine Lara, 81, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song Nuit magique really single again?

Lara spotted alone

A fan spotted Catherine Lara walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of July 20, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Catherine back on the market?

A rep for Catherine Lara was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (July 21), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
