Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Céline Sciamma, 47, and her partner had split up. Is the director best known for the movie Portrait of a Lady on Fire really single again?

Sciamma spotted alone

A fan spotted Céline Sciamma walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 28, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Céline back on the market?

A rep for Céline Sciamma was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the director was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (April 29), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
