Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Chantal Goya, 84, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like C'est Guignol, Bécassine or Un lapin really single again?

Goya spotted alone

A fan spotted Chantal Goya walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of August 24, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Chantal back on the market?

A rep for Chantal Goya was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (August 25), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
