Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, 42, and her partner had split up. Is the English singer really single again?

Cole spotted alone

A fan spotted Cheryl Cole walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Cheryl back on the market?

A rep for Cheryl Cole was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Sunday (May 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
