Is the former French Minister of Justice officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Christiane Taubira, 74, and her partner had split up. Is the former French Minister of Justice really single again?

Taubira spotted alone

A fan spotted Christiane Taubira walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of October 6, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Christiane back on the market?

A rep for Christiane Taubira was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (October 7), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
