Is the 72-year-old model officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Christie Brinkley, 72, and her partner had split up. Is the American model really single again?

Brinkley spotted alone

A fan spotted Christie Brinkley walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of August 3, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Christie back on the market?

A rep for Christie Brinkley was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the model - known for having been romantically involved with Billy Joel - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (August 4), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
